ARTHUR Z Series – Class Leading Performance, Classic Fun Factor

The primary design challenge for the Arthur Z was to engineer a power-dense, freeway-capable electric drivetrain within the compact form factor established by the Arthur series—without compromising its signature visual identity. The vehicle’s smooth, radiused surfaces and cohesive geometry are integral to its brand language, requiring precise integration of upgraded performance components within tight spatial constraints. A secondary challenge involved increasing functional storage capacity, necessitating reconfiguration of internal volumes and component layout while maintaining a clean exterior profile, harmonising mechanical performance with design integrity.

To overcome the challenge of integrating freeway-capable performance into the compact Arthur Z platform, the powertrain was fully re-engineered with a high-efficiency motor and CAN-enabled control system capable of sustained high-speed output. Energy storage was relocated in the underfloor of the scooter, lowering the center of gravity and freeing up internal volume for other components. This maintained the Arthur series’ compact proportions and balanced handling while significantly improving performance. To address the need for additional utility, 45 litres of extra storage were added, optimizing space—preserving the scooter’s classic, curved exterior and ergonomic integrity.
