Prof. Ken McBryde is an award-winning architect and thought-leader whose work bridges rigorous research, hands-on technical craft, and public-facing storytelling. Ken is a recipient of five Good Design Awards and contributed to two Sir John Sulman Medal-winning projects. His career is defined by innovation, materials research, a commitment to regenerative architecture and urban design, and Designing For Manufacture, Assembly and Disassembly (DFMAD).

Ken is an Adjunct Professor of Architecture at The University of Sydney, where he contributes to research and teaching in design, Modern Methods of Construction MMC /DFMAD, and the future of the built environment.

He is an Executive Producer of The Placemakers, specialising in research-based, documentary-led storytelling for the built environment and manufacturing industries.
