With over 25years working in the in design and technology industry, Matt has been a key figure in Australia’s digital evolution. After shaping his skills in London in the late 90’s, he co-founded Deepend Australia in 2000, leading its transformation into a multidisciplinary design consultancy collective. Under his leadership, the Deepend Group expanded to encompass three specialist agencies including; Deepend (Customer-led Technology), History Will Be Kind (Communications & Content), and How to Impact (Innovation). These entities collectively offer a comprehensive suite of services, driven by a diverse team of designers, technologists, analysts, and communicators.​

Matt’s industry influence extends beyond these business ventures. He has served on numerous panels and international award juries, including as an Executive Member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (The Webbys), a Grand Jury member for the Creative Standard Awards (CRESTA), and as Chair of the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) Awards for several years. His commitment to excellence and innovation continues to shape the digital and design landscape.
