Leanne Sobel

Leanne is a Strategic Designer passionate about applying design-led practices through strategic design and service design to address complex organisational challenges and broad multi-stakeholder system challenges. With 20+ years of experience across agency, consulting, academic, and industry roles, she has developed a distinctive perspective on unpacking complexity, bringing design practice in where it is most impactful to support change.

Leanne uniquely bridges industry and academia, working as both a practitioner and researcher. She is an Adjunct Fellow at UTS Business School, lecturing across both design and business disciplines and integrating real-world practice with evidence-based inquiry.

Leanne holds a PhD in Management from the University of Technology Sydney, exploring the role of design in strategy, a Master of Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Design from Swinburne University and Billy Blue College of Design.

Leanne brings a distinctive combination of strategic, creative, and scholarly expertise to help organisations navigate change with clarity, purpose, through design.
