Karl is the Managing Director of Turner, a practice providing Urban Design, Architecture, Interiors and Experiential Design services within Australia and overseas for over 25 years with the belief that Design is for Everyone.

Karl is interested in all facets of practice including the projects, people, business and politics, and balances that with a broader strategic role within the design and construction environment. He regularly contributes to industry through committees, awards judging and panels, and speaks at events to critically interpret new initiatives and legislation, and their potential for success or failure. 

Karl believes that designers should always look outside of the brief for the broader positive effect they can have on improving peoples experience of objects, spaces and places. His proactive attitude, inquiring mind and resolve encourage strong leadership within the practice and set the stage for collaboration, exploration and the pursuit of great outcomes through good design
