Dr. Xi Zeng

Dr. Xi Zeng is an AI entrepreneur, interdisciplinary researcher, and internationally recognised design innovator working at the forefront of visual intelligence and human–AI interaction. He is the founder of Chance AI, one of the earliest vision-focused AI platforms exploring how artificial intelligence can move beyond generation toward interpretation, perception, and meaning-making.

Prior to founding Chance AI, Dr. Zeng held senior leadership roles at ByteDance, OnePlus, and OPPO, where he contributed to globally scaled consumer products and design systems used by over 600 million users. His work across mobile operating systems, AI-driven experiences, and consumer technology has received international recognition including Red Dot and iF Design Awards. In 2022, he was named one of Forbes China Top 10 Designers.

Dr. Zeng holds a PhD in Cognitive Science and Contemporary Art from the University of Barcelona and has engaged with leading institutions including the Royal College of Art, Istituto Europeo di Design, and the China Academy of Art. He has spoken at major global platforms including TechCrunch Disrupt and Business of Design Week, where he introduced a human-centred framework for AI experience design focused on interpretation, co-creation, and meaning.

As a jury member, Dr. Zeng brings a rare combination of academic depth, industrial scale, and future-facing perspective on the evolving relationship between design, technology, and culture.
