Mike Horne has over 25 years of landscape and urban design experience, working across local and international large-scale masterplan, civic, residential, education, infrastructure and park projects.
Mike has been instrumental in numerous landmark and award-winning projects, including Central Park Sydney, Sydney Park, Circular Quay precinct, Central Barangaroo Masterplan (in collaboration with Skidmore Owings & Merrill), Sydney Olympic Park, and Sydney University Public Domain.
As an established leader in the landscape and design industry, Mike has also held teaching positions at The University of Sydney, and regularly undertakes speaking engagements both nationally and abroad, including the Royal Institute of British Architects’ (RIBA) Annual Discourse, Harvard University, and New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). He is a former Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) president and councillor (NSW Chapter), as well as being part of both the UNSW Course Accreditation Advisory Panel and Sydney University Urban Design Professional Advisory Committee.
