Gerard (Ged) Bulmer is one of Australia’s most experienced and respected motoring experts.

In a career spanning more than two decades, Ged has edited some of the country’s leading publications, including Wheels, Motor, 4Wheeler and Overlander magazines.

In his previous role as GM and Publisher of Bauer Media’s market-leading motoring group, Ged had editorial and commercial oversight of Australia’s largest and most influential stable of specialist motoring publications and websites, including: Wheels, Motor, Street Machine, Unique Cars, 4×4 Australia, and WhichCar.com.au

A former managing editor of News Limited’s nationally-syndicated Carsguide automotive supplement and website, Ged has also worked as a freelance journalist and media consultant across a range of electronic and digital publications.

A highly-effective communicator with deep subject-matter knowledge and an unbeatable auto industry contacts-list, Ged merges strong print publishing credentials with extensive digital media experience and great commercial acumen.

Ged lives with his wife Lisa, daughters Scarlett-Rose and Isabella, and a pampered pooch named Bailey. A well-cared-for 1978 Mercedes-Benz 280CE pillarless coupe holds pride of place in his garage, alongside a rarely-used set of golf clubs.
