Sharon Gauci served as Executive Director of Design – Global Buick and GMC from October 2021 until her retirement on May 1. In this role, she led the creative vision for Buick, GMC, and GMC HUMMER across global markets, shaping design strategy, delivering compelling products, and crafting cohesive brand expressions across trucks, cars, and SUVs. Under her leadership, her team produced standout work including the Buick Wildcat EV concept, the 2023 Buick logo redesign, and the GMC Sierra EV.
An experienced and award-winning design leader, Gauci held numerous global roles at General Motors, including Executive Director of Industrial Design, where she oversaw the historic redesign of the GM logo. She also played a key role in advancing Cadillac’s luxury design through innovative color, materials, and finishes.
Beyond her corporate career, Gauci contributed to GM’s sustainability initiatives and served on the Board of Trustees at Pratt Institute. She is widely recognized for her leadership, advocacy for diversity in design, and ongoing role as a judge for international design awards.
