Tesla Model X

The design of the Model X is set with an athletic build, whilst remaining proportional. Delivering on the functional form of a cross between SUV and people mover, the design remains true to a sports SUV. The design also provides a signature look inline with the Model S with no front grill to highlight the fact the vehicle is 100% electric and the custom design Falcon Wing Doors, which when open emulate the design of the 'T' logo. The design works towards our mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy.

The product delivers on its promise. Delivering of performance with full electric capability, whilst providing functionality through 5, 6 or 7 seat options. The day you buy the car is the worst it will ever be, thanks to over the air updates. This technology is intuitive and makes the driving and ownership experience far more enjoyable. With Autopilot features allowing for driver assistance, and new hardware allowing for full driverless vehicle capability with regulatory approval. Built in Spotify for entertainment, and Google maps for finding the fastest route, the car is built around the driver, whilst giving the passenger the best comfort.

Designed with safety at the forefront, the Model X is the safest SUV ever built. The signature skateboard chassis not only provides a low centre of gravity minimising roll over, but also allows for a greater crumple zone with no engine in the front. In addition, the chassis provides rigidity throughout the body strengthening the core areas of the vehicle, even breaking the pole on one of the first side collision tests conducted.The external core, paired with the latest technology allows for the safest SUV ever designed.

Tesla's mission is to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable transport. Model X was part of the Secret Master Plan to ensure that the mission continues to advance. Built from the ground up to be electric, when charged with renewable energy it is zero emissions.End of life batteries will be recycled at the Gigafactory once complete in Nevada.Tesla also allows for a vegan version of Model X with no leather.

Quality in development and design are two areas that have been a focus with Model X. With the Falcon Wing doors exposing the seats, Tesla changed the seats to the first built mono post seats for atheistic and quality. Using the highest grade materials, the design is set to be simple but luxurious.

Model X is part two of the secret master plan. Part 1 was to build a low volume, high cost vehicle to help fund Part 2. This vehicle was the Roadster.Part 2 was to build a sedan, the Model S. Model X was part B of this plan due to the ability to design and build the SUV on the same chassis platform as Model S.Part 3 will see high volume, low cost vehicle, Model 3 come to market, expected to start production this July.

The design of the Model X is from the ground up to be electric. It is the first ever full electric SUV and has never before used Falcon Wing doors, mono post seats and electric all wheel drive capabilities.
