  • In other well-known backpack vacuum cleaners, the battery packs are usually located at the rear of the vacuum, at a distance from the user wearing the backpack vacuum cleaner. This results in unfavourable ergonomics due to the uncomfortable weight distribution and a need to dismount the backpack vacuum cleaner to remove or insert a new battery pack. The harness assembly is often uncomfortable, as is the case for professional cleaners. A further disadvantage is the transmission of vibration from the vacuum cleaner to the harness to the wearer, which adds to the overall discomfort.

  • The Pullman Advance Lithium Backpack battery pack is mounted at the lower end of the vacuum cleaner body so that the weight of the battery pack is substantially supported by the hips of the user wearing the vacuum. To reduce the transmission of vibration, the harness includes rubber vibration insulation pads that aid and inhibit vibration being transmitted from the vacuum cleaner to the wearer. The harness design features extra padding on the shoulders and is similar in design to a hiking backpack.

  • The Pullman Advance Lithium Backpack can get the job done quickly and conveniently. The redistribution of weight means the weight of the vacuum is less noticable to the wearer, and ultimately minimises the strain on their back muscles. The anti-vibration rubber pads allow the wearer to use the backpack throughout the day without the discomfort of vibration.

  • The charger is constructed to ensure the pin guard is automatically pushed open when inserting the battery pack to charge. Upon removing the battery from the charger, the pin guard closes to cover the pins. Although the charger is on stand-by there is no voltage passing through the terminal. The above design protects the user from making contact with the battery charging terminals, and the terminals are only engaged by inserting the batteries. Output is only enabled when both batteries are inserted into the charger.
