The NAVE collection is centred around a material driven narrative celebrating Australian manufacturing and flexibility. Inspired by architectural drawings of timber framed boats and expressionist bauhaus artwork. Exploring the minimum structure required to support the upholstery treatments and linking the frame together with a continual silhouette.

  • The NAVE collection has been in development for the past two years, the design brief and goals were clear. The collection should consider the flexibility of ABW work environments and celebrate craftsmanship for residential clients, supporting local region upholstery and steel manufacturing.

  • Looking closely at the fashion industry to adopt new and unique techniques for connecting the upholstery treatments to the minimal sub frame. This method of customisation was a significant challenge and one that has consistently been resolved across all the NAVE products, including the complete manufacture within 100 Km of our studio.

  • The NAVE collection strives to be transparent in all aspects of its form and manufacturing. Refined to the essential elements and promoting customisation through interchangeable parts. This flexibility allows the collection to be repaired, restored and recycled easily. This becomes a new benchmark for a sustainable design language. All of these details gives the NAVE collection a significant competitive advantage in the market and overall customer interaction and loyalty.

  • The NAVE collection strives for innovation in the details. Exploring manufacturing processes across various industries and combining them into one unified collection. The unique method of upholstery attachment and universal frame components allows NAVE to be flexible and a point of difference in its sector.
