  • “Somewhere along the line, society became fixated on designing cylindrical shaped bottles, from this car drink holders and bottle accessories followed suit. Rather than making a product that conforms to the status quo, we decided to flip the equation and create something that is easy to transport but still holds the functional aspects of traditional bottles”, says Leeworthy. Resembling the shape of a piece of paper, the Memobottle is a slimline, premium designed reusable water bottle which suitably slides into your favorite carry bag along side your computer, books and valuables. The memobottle comes in three sizes: A6 memobottle: 350ml A5 memobottle: 750ml A4 memobottle: 1.25L

  • The inspiration stemmed from two problems that Jesse saw in society. Firstly, given the attachment to the environment, Jesse developed a passionate desire to reduce single use bottle consumption and its disastrous effect on the environment. Secondly, throughout his schooling, university, and professional work life, he experienced frustrations with the inability to fit water bottles in carry/laptop bags. The bottle has a thin profile of 30mm allowing for the user to have a good grip on their water. - One of the exciting aspects of the memobottle is that the user drinking experience is different to traditional bottles; holding the memobottle in different positions plays with the flow of the water.

  • The memobottle is BPA free to prevent contaminants being transferred to the user. - The memobottle is designed to be durable and withstand life's day to day activities; as the memobottle lives in and out of laptop bags and handbags it must be leakproof and withstand breaking when sat on or misused. These were some of the key development focuses. A reliable compression seal, high quality manufacturing and appropriate QC and QA measures ensures not only the safety of the user but also the safety of their belongings.

  • The memobottle is designed to assist in reducing the number of single-use plastic water bottles that are consumed and disposed of in landfill and our waterways. In response to this, many have turned to the more environmentally friendly alternative - reusable bottles. It's a common belief that plastic is The Devil, however, due to the monstrous embodied energy in Aluminum and Stainless Steel products (considering raw material to product) reusable plastic bottles are actually 80% more environmentally friendly than their counterparts. The memobottle is coupled with 'the one bottle movement'; a movement which encourages sustainable alternatives and promotes a shift back to a more re-usable society.

The memobottle is designed to be a premium long lasting re-usable bottle. It has been optimized to have a a thick wall section for durability - The wall section is consistence across the product to ensure an ideal refraction in light. The long spanning surface of the memobottle is flat to within .2mm and does not incorporate flow marks. The memobottle is transparent; there is no place for defects to hide; memobottle pride themselves on their QA and QC processes to ensure that everybottle is testing and reviewed multiple times before release to the customer. - The memobottle is not an easy shape to blow mould - we have developed techniques to mold in both blow and injection moulding (friction weld).

On August 29th 2014, the memobottle was launched on popular crowd-funding platform; Kickstarter. Melbourne/San Diego duo Jesse Leeworthy and Jonathan Byrt set out to flip the reusable bottle equation by creating a paper shaped, slim line and premium quality reusable water bottle designed to slide into your favorite carry bag along side your computer, books and valuables. The memobottle featured in both the Oscars and Grammy gift bags, and has been invited to be stocked within premium outlets such as Urban Outfitters and MOMA gift stores (pending) The A6 retails at US$19 The A5 retails at US$23 The A4 retails at US$33
