  • Compared to 'mushroom' heaters, the Tungsten Smart-Heat™ achieves performance increases of 94%, 140% and 300% at respective 1m, 2m and 3m distances. Traditional heaters lose heat upwards from the burner, while the Smart-Heat achieves a much higher conversion rate due to the high intensity ceramic burner's directional heat emission. The burners also reach a much higher temperature than metal meshes for the same amount of energy. The head can also be tilted up and down to further control the heat zone.

  • The gas injection and burner systems are enclosed in a curved mesh and cover which are designed to shield the flame and filter the wind. These features allow the heater to stay alight at higher wind speeds and give more reliable and consistent heat output than mushroom heaters. Redundant twin thermocouples cut the gas supply when no flame is detected. The Tungsten works at wind speeds up to 12km/h which is almost twice as fast as other heaters.

  • While there are a number of attractive wall mounted gas heaters on the market, Bromic identified a gap in the portable/movable segment: the Tungsten was specifically designed to provide a tasteful alternative to the ubiquitous 'mushroom' heaters. That insight, and management's backing, is translating into solid sales and profits!

  • Gas bottle replacement requires minimal lifting, and the soft-touch controls are intuitive to use even in low light. The 'porter trolley' principle is cleverly employed to position the unit's weight over the wheels when moving it. The stand easily breaks into two parts for efficient shipping and storage.
