  • The design of Avenue Rise responds to the lack of living options that support aging in place by embodying the key drivers of aging positively; autonomy and independence, health and wellbeing, diverse settings to suit different levels of care and lifestyles, bathroom adaptability, social connectedness and being part of an integrated community. Older residents prefer living in a low maintenance dwelling and resettling in the same neighbourhood where they can maintain an active lifestyle and have accessibility to services. These qualities are crucial to ageing positively and enable the aged to thrive in their later years

  • Future-proofing and flexibility are the key drivers of ageing in place. It's a contemporary challenge for the property market. There's a strong desire to part from institutionalised design and embrace emerging models in this sector which allows people to remain connected to their community. The design of Avenue Rise preempts the changing needs of their occupants. For ageing residents or those who acquire an injury or disability, the 16 adopted standards from the Livable Housing Guidelines enable them to maintain their lifestyle and reside in their own home indefinitely

  • The development considers: Social: offers linkages to the broader neighbourhood and facilities, a walkable neighbourhood and access to transport are key factors in fostering health, wellbeing and community engagement which become increasingly important as people age. Commercial: presents an alternative housing model for 'next-stage' living. Adaptable design allows for cost-effective alterations to suit the evolving needs of the residents. The blue-chip suburb will maintain/increase property value. Environmental: integrated ESD features include solar panels, sensor motion lighting for energy efficiency in all public zones, intelligent/smart controls for lights, speakers, etc. in all apartments and rainwater tank collection for landscaping irrigation.

  • Key features of Avenue Rise include the following: - Each residence has direct extra-wide lift access to the secure basement level. - There is parking for two cars (four for the penthouse) and digital access to a private storage cage and a shared electric vehicle charging station - Penthouse access to the rooftop from a private lift - Hobless showers to eliminate tripping hazard, large bathroom that allows wheelchair access - Wall reinforcement allows for retroactive installation of grab rails in all required areas - Flush and hobless balcony access to eliminate tripping hazard - Wide kitchen circulation for the walking frame or wheelchair access - Floor-to-ceiling windows create an abundance of natural light - All apartments are cross-ventilated - Kitchen is integrated with the full suite of premium European appliances, stone benches and bespoke joinery to maximise ergonomic efficiency - Large pantry space and inbuilt storage allows for ample storage - Heated floor in the main bathroom and a custom-framed glass shower with integrated seat - Smart home automation (tablet or voice command) for lighting, controlling temperature, multi-room music selection.
