Tristan Schultz is a designer, researcher and strategist of Gamilaroi and Australian-european descent.
His work combines product, visual communication, service, participatory, experience, events and interpretive design, with over a decade of research and professional practice in critical design studies, strategic foresight and futures thinking, decolonial thinking and sustainable transitions.
He has served on a number of boards, publishes in critical design discourse widely and delivers keynotes, lectures, public speaking and resources, centred on contributing to the advancement of thinking, talking and mobilising sustainable, plural futures.
Tristan leads design and creative direction at Relative Creative.
He has a Bachelor of Design majoring in Product Design, a Masters of Design Futures with Honours and a PhD in Design. T
ristan has also been a convenor in the design department at QCA, Griffith University, notably co-designing the Design Futures program. He is currently Honorary Adjunct Fellow at UTS in the Design School and Honorary Principal Research Fellow at RMIT.
