Design Director, Water Treatment
Julian is one of Aurecon’s six inaugural Design Directors, assisting with training other technical leaders in the business in design innovation and eminence to promote the role of designers in modern society.
Julian has worked in the engineering industry for 25 years, focussing on delivering innovative water management solutions to meet the needs of Australia’s rapidly expanding population base. He has developed major water infrastructure designs for several major cities in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong, promoting the use of new technologies and innovative approaches. His work involves regular interaction with a diverse range of stakeholders and his designs have a strong focus on the end user in terms of operability and maintainability.
He has presented guest lectures at UNSW and written an operator training module for TAFE, as well as presenting at many major water conferences.
He is a member of the Infrastructure Partnerships Australia (IPA) Water Taskforce.
He holds a Chemical Engineering degree from Birmingham University in England.
